PhD Student

Devansh Gahlawat

Devansh works on memristive devices, where electrons are restless, materials are temperamental, and memory is never just a metaphor. Much of his time is spent in a cleanroom bunny suit ,persuading matter at nanometer scales to settle into something functional—and occasionally elegant. When he has his headphones on, visual perception is strictly optional; navigation becomes echolocation-adjacent, and near by obstacles learn this the hard way .

His interests drift through semiconductor device physics, molecular electronics, nanofabrication, and optoelectronics, a landscape shaped by thin films, deep vacuum, and the quiet tension of processes that cannot be rushed. Here, a single atomic layer can rewrite outcomes, and every device carries a story written in defects and fields.
